Terms of service
AnyToWav (“we”, “us”) is run by 9568-3744 QUEBEC INC.. These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use anytowav.com (the “service”). By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. What the service does
The service converts audio and video files that you upload into other audio formats (for example WAV or MP3). You choose the file and the settings, we convert it, and you download the result. We do not accept web links and we do not download anything from other websites for you.
2. Your files and your rights
- You must only upload files that you own, or that you have permission to convert.
- You keep every right you already have in your files and in the converted files. We claim none of them.
- You allow us, and the converter company we use, to process your file for one purpose only: to convert it and hand the result back to you. We do not look through your files, sell them, or use them to train anything.
- Your file and its result are deleted 1 hour after the conversion, or sooner if you press “Delete it now”. See the privacy policy for the details.
3. What you must not do
- Upload a file you have no right to use, or use the service to infringe anyone’s copyright or other rights.
- Upload anything illegal, or anything that contains malware.
- Get around the limits of the service: for example by automated requests, by hiding who you are, by overloading it, or by trying to defeat the human check.
- Try to break into the service, reverse engineer it, or interfere with other people’s use of it.
We may refuse a file, block an address, or close an account if you break these rules.
4. Free use
You can use the service without an account, up to 3 files a day and 100 MB per file. A conversion that fails does not count. We may change these limits, and we may pause free use when the service is very busy.
5. Paid plans
When paid plans are available, they work like this. Prices are in US dollars. Taxes, where they apply, are added at checkout.
- Pro, monthly: $8 a month. Pro, yearly: $70 a year, paid once. Pro includes 150 files a month, up to 1 GB per file and 20 GB in total each month, and no adverts. The monthly allowance starts again every month (also on a yearly plan); what you do not use does not carry over.
- File pack: $6 once, for 100 extra files (up to 1 GB per file and 10 GB in total). A pack does not expire. Anyone with an account can buy one, with or without a Pro plan. It is used after the monthly allowance of a Pro plan is used up.
- Renewal and cancelling: Pro renews automatically every month or every year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your account; the plan then runs until the end of the period you paid for and does not renew.
- Price changes: If we change a price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
- Payment: Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or keep your card number.
- Refunds: You can get your money back within 14 days of a charge. See the refund policy.
6. Your account
You can sign in with your Google account or with a link we email you. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your Google account and your email safe. You can delete your account at any time from the account page; that also removes what we keep about you, as described in the privacy policy.
7. The service as it is
We work to keep the service running and the conversions accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for your purpose. Converting a compressed file (such as an MP3) to WAV cannot bring back sound that the compression already removed. We rely on other companies to run the service (for example the file converter and our hosting), and a problem on their side can affect it. We may change or stop any part of the service.
8. Copyright complaints
If you think a file on the service infringes your copyright, use the process on the copyright page. We deal with repeat infringers as described there.
9. Our responsibility to you
The law in your country may give you rights that cannot be limited by a contract, and nothing in these terms takes them away. Apart from that, and as far as the law allows: the service is provided “as is” without warranties; we are not liable for lost files, lost profits, or indirect or consequential losses; and our total liability to you for anything related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or CA$50 if you paid nothing).
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if the law requires it. Sections that by their nature should continue (for example sections 2, 3, 9 and 11) will continue after that.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada, and the laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring a claim in the courts of the place where you live.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the last update. If a change matters to you (for example a change to paid plans) we will tell you before it applies. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept it.
