Copyright and removal requests
We respect the rights of creators. The service only converts files that people upload themselves, and it does not accept web links. Files and their results are deleted 1 hour after the conversion, so a notice is most useful when it reaches us quickly and names the file. If you believe a file converted on this site infringes your copyright, send us a notice and we will look at it promptly.
What to include
- Your name, postal address, email address and phone number.
- A description of the copyrighted work you say was copied.
- Where the file is on our site: the job reference or address of the conversion page, the name of the file and roughly when it was converted. We cannot search files by what is in them.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Where to send it
Send notices to the copyright contact of 9568-3744 QUEBEC INC.. Email: copyright@anytowav.com.
We act on notices that meet the requirements of the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and on notices under Canada’s notice-and-notice rules, which we pass on to the person concerned.
What we do
- We find the file and delete it from our converter. A removed file cannot be downloaded again.
- We may tell the person who uploaded it, and we may pass on your notice (including your contact details).
- We keep a record of the notice and what we did.
If your file was removed by mistake
If a file of yours was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send us a counter-notice with: your name and contact details; the file that was removed and where it was; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or because it was wrongly identified; a statement that you agree to the jurisdiction of the courts where you live; and your signature. We will pass it to the person who sent the notice. Because files are deleted after 1 hour, the practical remedy is usually to convert the file again.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of people who are repeatedly the subject of valid notices, and we may block the addresses they use.
False notices
A person who knowingly says that material infringes copyright when it does not may be responsible for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)). Please do not send a notice unless you mean it.
For questions that are not copyright notices, see the contact page.
